I think you can change the settings to not be able to delete ads. I know most of the other boards I'm on have it set that way. I would think a crook would delete it regardless.

After I have been paid for whatever item I have put up, and after I know that is is for sure sold, I close the thread myself. It's an option under "Thread Tools" as is deleting them.

Panhead Pete - AMEN!! This deserves a sticky. I can't imagine the amount of time that Cob & the other mods spend "policing" the classifieds. Seems there's a lot of posts where a moderator had to edit someones' post with a message to not post on the ad. I post "sold" when the item is gone and let the ad sink to the bottom.

 

There is provision to delete a post rather than apologize ..
But then you only have one post and not 3..
