"Moin" from northern Germany

• Hello,("Moin" means the same here)
• My car experience started with a car - most US guys do not know: a NSU 1000C (1,0 lit.engine in the rear with 40 HP).Now they are collectibles ,especially the high performance editions TT and TTS.In the 70`s they were nearly unbeatable at the local hillraces with 120 HP 1,2 lit. engines ,short wheelbase and a weight lighter as a beetle
• Later i switched to classic US cars ,cruising with old Pontiac`s since 20 years.
• Last year i fall in love with a 40 Plymouth rod with 57 Chrysler 354 polyhemi engine so i have to introduce myself now!
• I do not have experience with mopar and early hemis so i would like to get support from this forum ,especially to locate parts for those rare early hemis.

The best thing to do with an NSU engine was put it in a motocycle like Munch did.

• i will try to do my best with attachments(some files could be too large) of my Pontiacs and one `77 BMW 100RS bike with netherlands "Eglass Rijssen" special edition-may be it is interesting for you.

Like the Alpina 3 serie and 57 Poncho.
Is the R100RS a Dutch version ?
Eglass in Rijssen used to be the Lamborghini dealer in previous years.

In my opinion the best what came from Germany are my Zundapp's, mostly 125 cc versions.

• The Eglass should have been built from this Lamborghini dealer in his early years - so the pre-owner from Krefeld told me.

my parents brought a NSU 1200 and a Morris Minor 2 door convertible (LHD) over to the US from the UK back in '85 when we moved state-side. My father still has the minor in storage somewhere.

• @ Stefan T : from 1991 to `93 i took part at your Vasteras power meet. There i had a funny experience : at the first day of the meet i got two Chevelle seats for 100 D-Mark and two bottles of Whiskey - next day the two sellers were not more at the swap meet !?

My plymouth is not a project for Restoration or customizing.It is a project to keep him running in the nice old condition i`ve got him with old rod decals ,old paint ,old small self painted things of the owner of the 60`s and the old 60`s conversion to a Rod with this nice looking 57 polyhemi and spitfire heads! I want to go to this old-school Rod meeting at Bottrop in two weeks - may be we will meet us there?

Welcome. I spent last week in Hamburg on business (beautiful city). I was intrigued last Sunday afternoon to see a four-door Dodge about 1958 and a bright orange Road Runner. This really is an international hobby.
