I agree. A year ago just the square tubing for my T frame was around $180.

  2. The cool thing is, that Speedway Motors' frames are straight and square, ready to start mounting your parts onto. I ordered a T bucket frame on a Tuesday, they said they would have to weld one up for me. By That Saturday night it was in my garage. My local steel suppliers also will want to gouge you, really bad for the 2, 20 foot section of tubing!

    Hi, HotRodHabit.....

Calm down. I realize that many of the posts following your original question aren't exactly what you want to hear. But, I'll have to admit that if you walked into my shop with that very same question then you'd probably hear much the same discussion. Nobody here is calling you an ignorant fool. All that's happening is that they are offering free information that just might lead you down a slightly different road to your goal. There is more knowledge, skill and experience here than you'll ever find anywhere else in the hot rod scene. Don't get your knickers all twisted up by going hot head. That at***ude will get you nowhere with those on this site. It doesn't cost you one thin dime to listen. Try it sometime and maybe, just maybe, you'll learn something you didn't know.

  5. I did buy a 60's T bucket frame, but not very satisfied with it. Actually giving up on it anyway, gotten bored and burnt out on old cars, selling all my cars and projects, time to get serious about airplanes again. :D Hopefully, Tman and the like are not raging authorities on aviation as well.:p:D

 I give him credit for being a grown-up in dealing with you.

Hopefully, you don't treat people so discourteously in your next endeavor... especially when they take time to give you info that could help you out.

I'm wandering about you Tman. A few months ago you seemed to be against DIY, when I was pointing out how I could do a paint job on the cheap, you was all against that, insisted that I was all wet and that painting advice should be done only by professionals. Now you're suggesting somebody cut their own steel and save money?
That's an amazing reversal of concept..............

  8. Thanks for laying claim to this site by informing me of what type of at***ude will get me "nowhere" around here, and much thanks for pointing out the knowledge, etc. I would be clueless without your wise words. Thanks for the lesson, really, but it looks like I've been a member for a few more years than you have. Of co****, my post count is way lower than yours, but I only try and comment when I have something of value to say, rather than just posting to see myself type, go figure! Once again, thanks for spelling things out for me, and by all means, blow me! Have a nice day.:D

  9. Oh yes, that guy hijacks my thread with his usual false know-it-all ********, pastes up a link to my local yellow pages, like I can't use a F'ing phonebook, and I'm the one who's discourteous? Really?

Yes. As well, getting riled up and telling someone to "blow" you over a petty question about a T frame is pretty discourteous (and immature).

  11. Whatever man, sorry, last time I checked thisn was a hot rod site, not a bridge club. I've just had enough of that Tman guy. If he runs across a thread about something he doesn't like, he starts ****ting all over it blah, blah, blah, like his sensibilities are golden, and it just ****s if he doesn't like it. But hey, how the hell does anyone get a 20,000 post count anyway? I say get a life! There is plenty on here that I don't care for, but (as you can tell by my post count) if I don't like it, I just move along instead of ****ting on others for no point other than self-gratification, but then again, I have a life.:D

Yeah, it went from silly to sublime.

Stick up for your buddy, Brent, that's okay, but his, (Tman's) posts were not all that 'grown-up'. Yes, at times Tman can be very grown-up. He is obviously a very talented person. But too many times he is arrogant and condescending, a bully.
AFTER, OP stated he wanted a kit, didn't want to do his own, Tman thrust his 1.2 cents worth, not informative, but in the form of a retort; The punctuation and the rolleyes smiles(both yours, Brent, and Tman's), the implications are patronizing.

I got on this sight to ENJOY hotrod talk and gain knowledge from everyone also to help when I can and right now seeing things like this make me want to delete my account so quit the B.S. and accept help if you want it and dont get mad when its offered or not used!!!
