Awesome Pics! Had a great time meeting all and visiting with you. Was sure glad Shainerman was able to get a flathead exterminator and get debugged.

  4. Yup, more cool shots! As usual, an exemplary effort by the Kropduster's and Breeder and Co.
Glad the weather turned it on for you as well!

We in the Midwest have grown to appreciate rust as an "art form", mostly because life is too short and we know we can't beat it so we might as well make the best of it. ;)

2nd post, no intro, and you want to see Rat Rods. You are so on the wrong site. I guess you haven't paid much attention in the last year... Try OSR or ratrodsrule or killbillet. But no one that's here for what this site is about wants to see them.

Why don't you go search another site then. I even listed 3 for you. And sorry I don't build from catalog, but I'm guessing you build from cartoons..

Guess I decoded them incorrectly then, I thought you were making disparagng remarks as to our work ethics and intelligence. My bad.

Actually, I was only half kidding. It's not that we "accept" rust, we're just more used to it than most folks. What people in other areas consider a rusted out hulk we look at as primo sheet metal. If we can get it on the trailer without breaking it in half it's a keeper. You know how they say people in small towns (like mine) sit around and listen to the gr*** grow? We sit around and watch the cars rust. Between road salt in the Winter, farm chemicals being blown around the other 3 seasons and the humidity metal doesn't stand a chance around here. We're just doin' the best we can with what we have.

Don't think you're alone, North Carolina has a serious rust problem believe it or not, it's either the ocean air, the sandy soil, humidity, or if you're inland enough the damn idiots putting **** on the roads. I thought it'd be better here when I moved down from PA.

The thing is this site is about Traditional Hot Rods and Customs. So that's what we do here. That's the way we want to build them, if you think they're to cookie cutter for you fine, but don't expect it to be all nice nice here then.

Ok zman just dont bite my head off for asking just a question, and by the way you dont need to repost what i said in your response i know what i said. I joined this site because i seen the logo for it on traditional rods and rat rods, i figured people might be a little more open minded on here but if you represent this site im wrong

Actually I do, it's how we know who it's aimed at. It's called etiquette. Helps people follow what's going on. And if you are here for anything other than Traditional Hot Rods and Customs then I question why you're here. Now you may be confused as to what a traditional hot rod is or isn't, that happens a lot.

No offense to Breeder and the KD's but though the Rust Revival is a little loose with what they let in. We tend to try and keep it to the Traditional Stuff. I read what you wrote, I just figure if you are confused enough to ask for rat rods here then you're probably confused as to what a Traditional Hot Rod is. It's kind of like going to a Camaro site looking for Mustangs. If I wanted something else I'd go to a site that dealt with that.

The things you keep saying, why are you still here?

They let a lot of things in that wouldn't qualify as traditional, that's what I meant. I could car less about you or your supposed awards. Even shiny I've never built one of my cars for anyone but me. Now do yourself a favor and go cruise the rat rod sites. That seems to be what you want.
