thanks again Roy, that plate actually gets sandwhiched in by the water pump so those are coolant passages, not to sure if i like the way it is designed but we'll see.

yes that is a real vertex mag, expensive little booger too.

and yes those exhaust plates do just that raise the ports and really open it up no more bump inside from the old casting design.

i didnt know anything about em till the old guy down the road brought them down and said here figure out what these are and you can have em...

i ported the intake runners also

got the dominator back together last night it should be around 1250 cfm's

if nothing else it should breathe.. dying to fire this thing up maybe shoot a vid. this holiday weekend coming up.

I did a teardrop to ram air hood on my comet. Let me know if you need any info. It looks like your initial cuts are the same as mine. I did grind out a layer or three and resined the teardrop flush with the exterior of the hood. Once i was done, it looked like it was glassed at the same time.

  9. Yes, dad and I are going. We will not be racing but we will have the Bonner T-bolt. Phil is going to meet us there for the Drag Council reunion. I'm glad you're coming.

thank you mercury junky. i like to keep a "diary" of all my builds, with little notes, alot of pics, part numbers and costs of everything. makes it easy on the new owners if they ever get sold.

will post more after the holiday weekend.

yep we used 5/8's hemi studs to bolt the heads on. the 5/16's exhaust bolts go thru to the head also but the studs do the majority.

i'm going for somewhere between 2500 to 2600 without my fat azz in it.

and trying to do the normal 55/45 front to rear ratio.

cut up a prefectly good pair of cobra ceramic coated headers today to make the fenderwell's i can here somebody cry-ing! haha.

3 out of 5 match race. This was the best race as McDuell held off Burgess. The other rounds were decided by fouls.Bill won the match.

Here's a picture that I took at the '66 Nationals at Indy. Ed Schartman was running A/G with his Comet. This is a digital picture I took of a slide, sorry that it doesn't look too good. Anybody know the best (and cheapest) way to transfer slides to a computer?? I got lots of 'em!

Looks like it's not spelled right on the Comet---unless there is a Jadene company too!

I havent had any issues with it. Its been like this for 5 years now, Though i havent driven it much in the last 2. Resining the scoop into the hood instead of on top made it stronger since its bonded to the hood and then finished off basically sandwiching it as if it was done in a single mold

I rolled the car out into the sunlight yesterday morning. Its hard to get a grasp of what it will look like from only a few feet inside the shop. A bit severe with no weight up from ,obviously. But it should come down about three to four inches once the engine/trans get bolted in:
