Come in Kiwi Kev - 1,2,3 are you out there???? Great score and actually in better condition than one I have, which is still savable. Glad to see you are going to do the right thing and restore it to it's former glory. Tory Thompson at Rolands Rod Shop is your man for sheet metal replacement parts - www.rolandsrodshop.com
Dynamite!!!! Absolutely amazing that stuff like that is still around. A guy here in town still has his 41 studebaker gasser sitting in his shop stashed out, I'll see if I can sneak by there and get some pictures this weekend. JOKER JASON.
Wow, nice score guys! That Willys is lucky the right people found it and are restoring it. Congrats and looking forward to seeing build pics. Mike
Wow, that was one of the neatest cars at Dover, in fact we all thought they kind of took away it's mistique after it was lettered, (although a great job). That early flatbed in the back ground had a big block I think, what ever it had I remember wheelies with the Willys on the back, at the end of the day. Glad some one who will do it up nice got it, instead of the goon who kept it OUTSIDE the barn. Good luck.
Nice save, it's hard to believe someone would let that car stay outside for 22 years, when there appears to be a barn right beside it.
Bobwop, This is our third willys. We have the filthy forty tribute that's our avitar and we also have a 1940 willys pickup. These cars are our passion and we will never own anything else. Gasser Girl
Thanks for sharing this with the HAMB community. To me thats one of the best parts of hanging out here. How nice for it to fall into the hands of someone who will REALLY appreciate it and do right by it. Be sure to share it's rebirth with us...........we'll be waiting. Is it finished yet?...............patience if not one of my strong points. Frank
what a cool find! good to see someone who cares about it get it. Good luck in returning it to it's former glory.
