I am going to go out on the limb and say that the '55 Olds Caps that I got are by far the best looking cap I have seen on the car. I received the two in yesterday and snapped them in so I can see if I like them or not. It was love at first sight!!! These are definitely the caps I am going to use on my Merc. The white stripes look really tasteful on the car and all they need is a small bullet for the center.

Thanks Andy!! Funny I bought a one-sie the other day that says "Rad Like Dad". Now I know better then to call myself rad but I bought it anyways hahaha!!! I really need to fix that exhaust leak in the car. That my friend would be pretty rad of me!

Saturday grass hoppa! One of them is missing that White paint on the ribbs so I am going to paint them tonight after shining them up a bit. Then I need to get some silicone so I can keep them on the F'in car hahaha!!!!

You can get a lot of noise and smell through shifter/transmission tunnel holes.

Well then I guess that's definitely one of the problems. There is no cover right now over the tranny after we did the T5 swap. Basically I can see the road while I am driving. I just didnt think that I would get exhaust from way up there. Gas and engine but not so much exhaust. I wouldn't doubt there is a leak in the exhaust though too since we whipped it up pretty quick. I would like to get a new exhaust ran when I get some money. It just sucks because I traded my roadster for this car so I could take my wife places but that hasn't happened yet because I am waiting on seatbelts and I need to find time to fix that leak inside the cabin so there is ZERO harmful fumes in the cabin.

Damn, I sold those spider caps today too! Hahaha!!! Guess I'll be rolling 2001 style if these fly off. Don't tell anyone but a certain someone who's name starts with a "J" and ends with a "effy cakes" had the tube of silicone out tonight and was seen securing Wheel Covers to a certain '52 Mercury. Cross those fingers brother!!!!

Tell me about it. And when you try to put what you think would be a good one together it's a royal PITA. Hell getting everyone to go to a cruise night is a chore. But no one cares.

That's just the thing. I doubt we made an impact at all. Our shit is not in your face and obnoxious so I bet we faded into the background in the sea of garbage. I think our time would have been much better spent having a picnic or BBQ in a park or something. But that's just the elitist asshole in me talking.

Oh an I think the Merc is losing it's brakes. They were acting funny and the pedal was getting all different types of pressure on the way home that day. Figures. I get looking into that once I progress on the '35 a bit more.

 

It's weird because there's more talent in NC then anywhere outside of California and there still seems to be a lack of cool cars. But I am certainly not complaining too much as I have a great group of friends and they have cool cars and we can always just hang out amongst ourselves in between cool shows. One thing is for sure though, if NC is lacking one thing, it's HOT RODS. I feel like I see customs all the time but a nice Hot Rod is few an far between.


Anyways, no need to bitch too much on this thread. There are plenty other threads I can do that on.

Del needs a Hood no matter what. You might be able to get away with those rain/wind guards that slap on with double sided tape from Auto zone. Or goggles might work too! Hahaha!!!!

I think you can get away with another summer without putting windows in. SHit the Buick has them and that should be on the road in no time!
