Thank You Mazooma, I mean Mr.Clooney, for posting these pictures. I always look forward to your photo threads of the LA events I cannot go to.
Very much appreciated. And nice choice of car (and girls). The twotone '40 Ford was unexpected yet intriguing.

Thank you Mazooma! I have not been to 4ever4's antigue nat's since 1998. Is it more ''new" stuff now or more like it was at LACR, still inline 8's, 4's, and all the "GOOD" things , not alot of streetrod "think their old racer thingys"? If so I'll try to get there next year! Thanks again, Marv.

Doug and Steve....I'll say it again...awesome shots and coverage.... real hotrods too!

  12. He doesn't own it anymore. A guy called Chris in Orange County has it and the red 40 ford with the slicks which was one of Mike Bambers first race cars too.

Ferguson's Dragster (ARDUN flatheads) produces an incredible amount of horsepower for a non-blown straight 6. They said they can't get a big enough fuel pump to feed it. Thanks for posting.

The five window was loaded onto a flat bed, left front wheel was at a funny angle, apparantly it was damged pretty good. Track security was taking a report.

Great to see that Elmer Snyder is still at it! ... His "Unsprung" Dragster made him famous ...
... but I've always dug his Deuce 5wd Drag Coupe:

  22. Thank you Doug and Steve for posting. I was waiting all day to see the photos from the nats. Myself and Trad27 were busy scrounging parts outta the bario of Bakersfield today for our future projects. Got some ideas in the works for next years dragfest and nats. We'll make it next year.-Weeks

We had the Front engine flathead dragster the "Antique Doll" and we had a great day! finally broke my dads personal record and got it to 12:13. The fastest our car has got with the flathead was 12 sec. flat, hope to get high 11's soon!

Will the pics from the photographers on the line be posted and/or a link where they can be purchased? Thanks!

This thing is awesome, it turned 8.17 to win top eliminator, sounds like an extremely pissed off sewing machine.

This was my first time for the antique nats, I'll have to go again next year. My favorite part was wathcing the guys run their Model T's. It's a good thing they were only running 20's, most of them looked way to busy stomping pedals, yanking levers, and adjusting things to go any faster.

Great photos, Doug! As I haven't been to the Antique Nats since 1980 (just before I moved over here), I was wondering of the hot '38 Buick coupe (running the 320 inch Straight-Eight) is still competing? I remember that when it ran, it ran well.
