Event Coverage All Deuce Run photos 2010

We left home at 6:00 AM Saturday morning to meet up with the majority of the guys at the starting point in Cornelius,North Carolina.

The Target Shopping Center already had a bunch of folks already there and I finally got to meet a few Hambers for the first time and touch base with some of them I already know. HRP

 

I really didn't get any good driving shots,,Maybe someone else can post some of the drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains,,this was the only shots I got,,and hardly worth posting,,but,,

 

any dudes that are over 6 foot 3 running these? I would love to have one, but just feel it will be torture for a 6'4' dude...?

Great coverage that really gives the viewer a sense of being there. Don't apologize for the on-the-road shots, they tell a great story.

The scenic overlook where we stopped for a strech just outside Boone,North Carolina,,

 

I'm 6'4" and I fit in the 1's I build just fine.
Have a new 1(150 test miles) that I'm drivin to the L.A.Roadster Show(350 miles) next week and it's FOR SALE
Also the 1 in my avatar I sold to a guy that was Real BIG 6'4" 325 lbs.

Some of these cars are regulars on the run and some I have never seen before,,,

Gene's a regular on the run and he drove up from Charleston, South Carolina.

This is a fresh car and you guys that attend the L.A. Roadster show will see it in a couple of weeks,,along with several of the roadsters that were on the Deuce run,,

After our late lunch some of the guys and gals on the run decided to stay in Boone and do the tourist thing while others elected to head on back home,,,

A few of us,Randy,Lee,Ken,Gene and I decided to check out the downtown car show in Mooresville,North Carolina,

About an hour into the ride we ran into some bad weather,,a lot of rain and wind,,,but thankfully it didn't last too long,,,

Randy led the way,,,



Lee in the roadster,,I'm pretty sure he was glad he left the top on and not at the motel,,



Weather was looking ugly,,





One of my favorite photos,,I just stuck the camera out the window and snapped,,I was surprised how well it turned out,,,we had just stopped on the off ramp heading towards Mooresville.



Pulled into town just after the storm,



,we were approached by a newspaper reported asking a lot of questions,,he was shocked when Lee told him he was from Frorida,,and the rest of us were from South Carolina,,Randy explained the Deuce run and that led to more questions about and hour later Ken and I said our good byes and headed home,,,

Any of you that have ever traveled I-85 South might reconginize the giant peach water tower in Gaffney ,South Carolina,,



The ride home was uneventful and we arrived home at 9:50 PM a long day but so much fun,,I would do it again tomorrow,,Thanks to every one that showed up for the Deuce Run.

Everybody we talked to seemed to have a good time and there were no attitues,you couldn't ask for anything more,,unless it was for more Deuces next year.

I get a bang, everytime I see the headlight stickers on so many different cars,---I wonder if they know the story behind the stickers????----Ask Randy!

A lot of the guys have driven to the LAR's show and will do so again this year. HRP

WOW....I'd love to do that....looks like an amazingly cool day........just driving and looking at Deuces....sounds like heaven to me.
