Lets see your Kick Ass Interior that is period correct to your ride

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by ragtop49, Jun 8, 2010.

  1. This is my # 1 PET PEEVE . Some F###ng duffass starts building a car and has no idea what direction he is building his ride to . He just starts putting shit on the car he finds for free that does not belong and that includes the interior . If you don't have a plan please don't touch the car ..:D

Beaten up old Bi-plane seats that happen to come my way at the right price and I traded an F! steering box for some old aircraft belts.
I happen to think the look is perfect

My #1 PET PEEVE are busy bodies that feel it's their job to dictate how everyone else builds cars. Build it how you want and shut the fuck up.

I agree with you, another one is modern mirrors on an old car, but I'm on probation so I'm not allowed to get huffy.

I'm planning on something similar to this for my '49. I will be taking the front bench to the shop in the next week or so. I'm also having seatbelts with shoulder belts installed. You don't like that? I don't give a shit.

Holy fuck, we've entered the George Orwell realms of 'this is how you got to build your personalised car'.

Just getting a hot rod built and on the road is a major achievement, without somebody telling you you've totally fucked it all up by not having the correct type of interior.

This is the guts of my last car, and if it don't match your regulations for the period, then GOOD, because I thought being a hot rodder was all about doing things differently and being a bit of a rebel.

How can we be individuals if we all look the fuckin' same? :D

My #1 pet peeve is people trying to tell me what I should do to my own vehicle, but not wanting to PAY FOR IT! :D

Tell ya what, YOU cut me a check, and I'll doll up my interior the way you think I should. Deal? Or no deal? :p

Oooo, that sounds really cool. Yeah, the rant about what others do with their cars is no different than those who complain when you don't put the car back stock.

I'll listen to someones complaints when they are paying for the parts.

What? Are you telling me the "Members Only" seat cover that came in my 54 Chevy isn't going to cut it? :)

  27. I think some of you took the OP's question the wrong way.

A well thought out car is more than the sum of its parts. Read Ryans thoughts on interior.

If folks would put 1/2 this much thought into their cars the world would be a better place ;)

What question? The OP included nothing but insults. The thread title is good, which is what attracted me to open the thread. But the OP was filled with venom towards builders.
