LOUDER PIPES INDEED!! Although LOUD PIPES didn't help me 2yrs ago when I was
"T-boned" by an ol' lady in the middle of an intersection on my chopper, in which, I had the right of way. Glad to here your ok. Today I'll bet you'll be sore. If there is anything I can share.......... "PATIENCE it took me a year to get things settled"...... get a GREAT lawyer (if needed... the insurance company is GONNA drag their feet) and remember the SEDAN will bee better dan EVER when it's all said and done!! Again glad to here your ok.

  2. looking at the pipes on your car, she had to be death too!!!should of heard ya coming..good luck with getting back together....

  3. Who said anything about doing something fradulent? All the OP deserves is to have his ride back to where it was before the accident and to be compensated for lost work time, pain and suffering. Ask for more than you deserve since the insurance always beats you down in the process. If you have never been there, I'd expect a post like yours out of it.

Hitchhiker is dead-on right. The nperson from the insurance co that you talk to is essentially a professional liar. They will try to tell you any bullshit story they can to get you to accept some half-assed settlement. Ask for EVERYTHING in writing. I've had these clowns try to tell me utter bullshit was "state law," then backpedal in a hurry when I asked for it in writing.

It is their job to screw you, or to actually get you to screw yourself. Make them fail at it.

They never had any problems with cashing their moron drivers' checks, let them scratch as big a check as it takes to make your car like it was. (or better than it was, if you do the work yourself and use what they pay you for your labor to upgrade the car)

I was responding to this comment:
Sounds like a bit of fraud to me.Maybe it's just a joke.........Was I ever screwed by an insurance co? I had to take the other guys insurance co to small claims court one time to get what I felt they owed .I did not play it up however.

At least you knocked some plastic trim off her 4runner!

Accidents suck, and it being the fault of someone else doesn't make it any better.

Car came out better than your story was going. Nice job on construction man! Friend of mine T boned a pathfinder with his F350 Dually Quad cab. The F350 needed a new frame. So I guess your in good stead.

The insurance nightmare will be the worst of this I bet, those folks just dont get anything, period.

Well hope next time she is driving a semi, and you could have driven under the trailer.

Glad your ok, although you may have some bruising and a nose bleed for a week to 10 days, it could have been alot worse.

Who said suicide springs are bad?

Anyone aiming a car in any direction should make absolutely sure he/she sees everything in the direction the car is going, regardless of whether or not the other vehicle is low, high, black, or white. What if the woman had made a U-turn and run over a 5 year old kid in the road because she couldn't see him? Would that have been the kid's fault for being little and short?

Granny Magoo across the street from us backed out of her driveway a few weeks ago right into my daughter's boyfriend's Accord which was parked at the curb in front of our house. The old lady fussed at daughter's boyfriend for parking his car where she was backing up (not directly across from her driveway but over enough to give her plenty of space to back out if she wasn't blind, demented and clueless). Later her fat redneck unemployed son waddled over to give us the lecture about parking in his mother's way.

The cop who showed up didn't give the old lady a ticket because she boo hooed, even though she hit a parked car. He told daughter's boyfriend that the insurance companies could duke it out, and he left.

Granny Magoo's insurance company, of course, is paying for damage to Accord, as they should. Scary thing is, she is still driving. I watched her back completely into my yard while pulling out of her driveway about a week ago. She will eventually kill herself or someone else.

Lights wouldn't hurt in most cases. I this case, the dumbass in the SUV was going to hit anything that she wasn't paying attention to, making a U-Turn like that. I would have been really pissed at her, what if you were on a motorcycle and she pulled that shit?

Really?? the dumb assed driver made an illegal U-turn right in front of the guy and you think she would have seen headlights on in the daytime?? Sorry but I don't agree.
Glad you are OK. Take the car to a few shops and get nice fat estimates for correct repairs and don't leave a penny on the table....get reimbursed for the medical too.

  29. Joe, I'm glad you're OK. Channeled cars and SUVs are a scary combo.

And why are some of you guys jumping all over the guy who suggested he run with his lights on? What's wrong with you people?

Glad you are Ok. I don't know what it is with people, but every time I take my A out some jackass has to turn in front or pull out in front of me narrowly missing me. People just tune into autopilot behind the wheel anymore.
