Here you go borntoloze. This is at the willys home run last year. I had a blast with it. It started out as just a cab that we dragged out of the woods here in maine.
That truck is way cool, I really dig the 60's stance. Great score on the new ride, please post more stuff as you get her back into shape. chuck
This is a picture of what we started with on the truck. As you can see we like to save them. We will definetly keep everyone posted on the restoration of the mystery willys
After seeing what you accomplished with that clapped out truck cab, I had to subscribe to this thread! Can't wait to see this one progress. Great Work!
Borntoloze, Yes our willys are all street licensed. We make a few runs around town before we have to go home and hide from the "blue lights". We don't run them on the track. One slap against the wall and things wouldn't be good.
I couldnt imagine walking around the corner of the barn to see that sitting there....just about every Hot Rodder walking around with gas running through his viens is dying to score something that big--Congrats!! where exactly was it found??
Wow, glad I finally found this post.... had to do my weekly "Willys" search. Any idea what the car did from the mid 60's until 1988 (22 years ago)? Luckily, it looks like it avoided the street rod fate of a lot of old race cars. Good luck with it!
Shakey Puddin, The gentleman that bought it from al didn't do anything with it that we know of. I think he had plans to race it but it never happened. G***er Girl
Jaffrey, NH?!?! I wonder how many hippies saw it and p***ed along the news of an old v.w. they found!! I need to start looking around more...
There aren't many updates. We haven't really had a chance to do much to it. It's a very cool car though. How are you doing grant?? G***er Girl
