I think it would look better without the slant chop and a smoother transition to the rear

im making up a new category for cars. "post-rat rod era" that is the era we are currently in, where people still take perfectly good cars, cut them up into a turd they call a "kustom" and make them as low as they an get them. the only difference between now and 4 years ago is, now they go through the extra effort to polish the turd and make a shiny in hopes to gain respect from the guys who really know what the fuck is up.
there ive said it, i know a hell of a lot of you feel the same.
that car destroys everything a zephyr is and should be.

Zephyrs are getting kinda common; How about starting with an Alpha 2300?

As a shoebox owner, a piece of me just died.[/QUOTE]

'Thanks' for killing a little piece of me too. I don't get what motivates people to do this.

On a lighter note, that is pretty funny compared to those EZ Rod kits:

that looks like a good start to me..daily driver

  11. I totally love the little dip in the tulip panel..different from other zepher chops but in a good way, IMHO...I don't dig the straight front fender extensions tho....they need more "shape...maybe something that mirrors that dip in the tulip panel. eh?
I believe the lines flow pretty good, especially when you look at the original non-exciting club coupe design. The short top is a positive to me too....all in all, I dig it!

I saw it in person and I was quite impressed. It was big, and I like the green color. Good job and different.

    Hey,

I do like the horn, the green colour, and the Buick "port holes'' on this model!

The "dip" of the dutchman on the Zephyr @ Santa Maria reminds me of the hollow in back, just above the ass, on a well shaped woman! The general flow of the greenhouse, from the cowl to the dutchman kinda says pre-war french, coachbuilder to me. Scheck out some of the coupes that Bugatti built inhouse, in '37-'39 and you'll see what I'm talkin'.

Well if nothing else came from this thread at least we got Ian to join the HAMB. I have a feeling you'll be sticking around for awhile. Ya know it's true what they say, as long as people are talking about you (good or bad) it's good for business. Again welcome to the HAMB Ian. Now go out and build a traditional car :D

Going out with a girl who can't blow? lol, we should just killed you here... long and slow.

OK, by "traditional", how about a bubble-top rat rod? A perfect Ed Roth-to-Ian connection. I keep trying to get my friends to build one, using the plexiglass top of a yurt, and fiberglass insulation for angel hair, but they think I'm a totally whack and nuts.

That's my pitch, and welcome aboard. You are a master... and I have the t-shirt you should have, from a bait shop. :D
