Event Coverage (((New traditional car show in Pomona CA July 3rd, Free Free Free!))

Hey Guys , just wanted to p*** the word about a new car show starting in Old Town Pomona. This is a pre '65 show for traditional Hot Rods & Kustoms, Restored originals, Early muscle cars, and Bobber & Cafe style bikes! The best part is, it will be Free car entry and admission! There will be 4 bands playing live music all day, DJ's, food, vendors, and a $300 cash purse for best of show!

The show will be hosted by the Shifters Car Club. This is not a Shifters car show, the club is just helping out and it will be a benefit for Pomona's Youth Recreation Programs. The location is Thomas Square in downtown Pomona, CA and the date is July 3rd 2010 from 10 am to 7 pm. This is the first year so it wont be a huge show (maybe a couple hundred cars at most) but the location is great and it should be a lot of fun! Come on out!

Probably because the *****s who cause fights and security problems will be at the Hoot.

I'm going to try to get there. The Shifters throw a pretty good car party.

Havent been to a Hooternanny for years and years and years, I plan on keeping it that way. I'll be there Mr. Sinus.

i'll have to check this out if i can remember

 

Im not sure why they are doing it the same day, but I dont know anyone who even goes to the Hootenanny anymore? Too much of a tough guy drunk fest for me. They have some great bands but the crowds are just too much.

 

Looks like fun, haven't been to a car show in years. Should have the grille finished and 16" WWW/rims on.......I'm getting ready to go to UCR and will reside in Riverside for a lil bit.

Free show with live music? I think you may just have a larger show than anticipated. It's good it's the same day as Kookananny, it will keep all the drunk **** fight everyone types away. Sounds like a solid event so yeah I'll be there. Just wish the '50 was up and running already, but I'll be there regardless.
