So, there was a cruise in tonight in my home town of Webb City Mo...basicly still Joplin Mo, lol!

Not only was I searching for the alliance firewall tags everywhere, but I even asked...no one even had a clue of what the hamb was.

No worries though, I deff spread the glory of the hamb to those who needed to know!!

    Still disappointing..but oh well.

    So why is it disappointing?
Was it a car show that was worth going to?
Did you bother to find out beforehand if there are many/any Hamb members around there?

Yes, I did search around...like I said, I looked for the alliance tag...after not seeing any sign of the hamb, I questioned around/talked about it (part of spreading the glory!)

I just figured, I run into at lease one fellow hamber.

As for the show, it wasnt too bad.
A lot of it was late 60's/early 70's camaros, and mustangs..actually even one 70 charger. Which of course I appreciate those cars, but there werent many pre 65's..

The pre 65's that were there were very much liked.
    1947 ford f100/truck.
few early 40's, and 50's fords, and chevys.
    at least one t bucket!

The Hamb world is actually small considering whats out there. 125k members? Out of how many MILLIONS of old cars? Not to mention not everyon on here even drives old cars?

I meet a lot more people that have never heard of the Hamb then people that have. Shouldnt let that make or break a show.

    Haha, gotcha!

I just would have though, being in the "Joplin" area, that I would spot at least one fellow hamber. When I didnt, I thought Id poke around a little.

Deff didnt let it ruin/break the show.
Although I would have preferred to see a few more hot rods/cl***ics.

And as far as the fight club rule, Im not sure on which one it is..? Deff got the point though.

  10. Mr Bucket is right.......not many, if any, HAMBers turn up at the weekly
cruise-ins here. I know a few guys who are familiar with the HAMB, but
don't know if they actively participate on it. I don't have an Alliance tag
on my car, so he wouldn't be able to tell by that. However, I wasn't at
    this week's cruise anyway.

I think you second statement is the reason you didn't meet any HAMB people.

Yeah, I seldom ask unless I'm pretty sure they might have heard of it because you get a weird look when you ask someone "Are you on the Hamb?". They don't know if you just asked them if they on some kind of drug or have an infatuation with pork products.

I used to live in Joplin in the 90's. I used to go to Galena and Baxter for the shows and over to Springfield for the big one. Up to MoKan for the drags.

Since I joined in 2002 I bet I've only met 1 or 2 HAMBers by just randomly asking around at a car event. Might be hard to swallow but we're a fly speck on the wall when it comes to the big picture..............and I hope it stays that way.

I very seldom see any HAMB tags or members where i live, but i still get out to the shows and it don't bother me much, cause people here with streetrods really don't seem to understand hot rods they way HAMB members do anyway...

Personally I don't want everyone on the HAMB! I was told about it by a good friend, and only tell like minded people about it.

You need to go to the cruise night at mac"s on 32nd st { old Smittys store} Joplin on the 3rd sat of each mo. Much bigger crowd a lot more older cars.

I am disappointed for you. Everyone at our local shows is a HAMB member. You cant go three feet with out falling over one....
....and everyone in California has a surfboard. Thats where we put our alliance tags.

I thought it ment Homies And Mamas Boys

You don't need an Aliance Tag to be a member of the HAMB
