Figured it was time for an update and show off my progress a little on Cannon Ball from this past winter …insert big grin here!:D

Last year when I painted the ’37, the guy I get my paint supplies told me that it would be no problem buffing out the clear I used even if I waited months. Everyone else told me I’d be screwed if I waited cause it’d be too hard. Well, last month I brought the car to Dave (Gl***guy) to cut and buff it for me .
***guy went at it for a week and a half, and guess what…the clear was like a rock and there was noooo way it was going to work.
Dave ended up blocking it all out and shot a couple of new coats of clear and worked that…it came out awesome!

I also worked with my upholstery guy, Paul and did the interior and truck all up. Paul is 85 years old and kicks **** doin this stuff every day out of garage.
arnish moldings need to be chopped and painted, but you get the idea.

On to the vent windows and side windows next…to be continued!

    Dude your car is perfect!
ever considered moving the headlights down? or using the molded on fender type?
I think it would be even kooler, more menacing. Its the headlight-less picture that gave me the idea.
Bad *** car anyway, so elegant.

Thanks guys...I'm pretty excited getting it to this point!:D

That's exactly what Dave said when it was at his shop.
It does look pretty coop without them.
I think that pic without the skirts looks pretty cool also, but I still come back to it with everything on and done up the way I envisioned it before I started.

The headlights are 38's that are lowered 2-1/2". They couldn't go any lower without cutting them into the fenders, but I didn't want that style. The hood side lovers/spears are flipped and lowered the same amount. I had also thought about molding the fenders, but I wanted the extra line from the felder welt and the body line avove the rear fender.

I'll be there for sure, we're towin the Scotty up again this year behind it on Friday and campin at the show...stop by.
