I would have taken that shorty wheel stander rather than having it end up as a refrigerator in China. I think it could have been made into a cool car again. Oh well, day late and a dollar short. :(

definately worth saving. not to go back on the street but to take to the strip and have some fun with it while preserving some of the past. What are you going to do with it? Glad it didn't get scrapped even if it was worth a couple of hundred for scrap metal.

What were they asking for it and did they sell it?

Now this is what i would really like to find! This thread has so many cool cars in it. It is great that for the most part they are getting saved and hopefully restored at some point. The car above is what i would like to find but I would have to use it for the bike shop so that I could justify having it around. ;)

Yep. Got the 327 and Muncie. Ran the old traction bars on my Nova for a while. Not sure what happened to the other stuff.

yea, and for only 3times what it was bought for...
some one posted it on here when it was found..... whoever bought it changed a few things(wheels-tires, seats, added gauges on dash, belair trim on dash, filled the quarter windows with wrong era stickers, and afew other things) then listed it on ebay.....

This is one of my favorite threads. It may be sad to see these cars looking so broken and neglected, but at least the pics mean they are found and most likely on their way to being resurrected.

I tried to buy that car years before that. It was at Joe Cannuli Towing behind Fonse Performance in Erial, N. J. I couldn't come with the cash at that time either.

  26. Here's mine. Sorry for the bad pic. Healy 100-4, recapped slicks, 57 Chevy rear end, badly radiused wheel wells, mtr. mounts for a 348.
I bought it in '72 as is for the wire wheels (for my TR-3) for $35.
I still have it. Retirement project!
