BOP-Nut and dragsta, how about you both posting some pictures of your rides and let us comment on them. I am sure they neither look tacky or look like an ugly dude in drag. Let us see them...... We will be as fair in our comments as you have been....

Ok I will throw my 2 cents worth in.....here is mine, Black paint....check, Red wire wheels...check.....enjoy

 

Since i had too many trim rings stolen ,,i went with chrome wheels and painted the centers red to match the flames,,,,plus the stainless heavy center caps ,,

 

I also run it without the center caps ,,& just show the chrome lug nuts ,,,

 

Thank Tag!!! Small block Chevys...red wheels and flat black paint on everything...if you dont like it then dont look at it or **** talk it.

The metallic red wheels are great looking - wow!

 

My flames and the red in the wheels have a little "Angel Dust" sprayed in it ,,kinda sparkles in the sunlite ,,

 

I did the black but changed to orange wheels--just to be a little different--now I'm starting to see it more--

 

Think Magoo or Bud Brian.

Bowtie dude! I love that 'vair! Its has some crazy potential if you ask me! and the Nova bay is pure evil! I'd love to make that a bagged/juiced but otherwise stock lookin sleeper! I really like your projects, whatever the color.

Actually the 'vair would be way better with the small block behind the seats. of course no one can sit back there any more but I can't imagine whay anyone would want to sit in the back seat of a corvair anyway. Its just one step above the back seat of a beetle.

My humble opinion is pretty much the same. Although, I'm not a fan of having red anywhere else on the body. I don't care for the red grill I've seen on a number of cars here. I think you should keep it to the wheels.

My car is as stated above....a **** box with rattle can black. I don't want to draw attention to that, so my wheels are black and I've got spider caps on them (cliche, I know...but I don't care, I like it). Until I get the duckets to do the body work, it'll remain that way.

 

"It don't get no better than this" statement sure fits these two.

I think it's a winning combo. But I am a little biased.
