"Pontiac Police?" Lemme guess, they'd give you a ticket if you had Chevy hubcaps on your Catalina. No?

 

Ha, yeah! Actually this picture was taken in downtown Pontiac Michigan, I was born there and grew up in the area. Oakland County (where Pontiac is located) cops and many municipalities drove Pontiacs in the 50s and 60s because they were built in the county. I don't recollect if the state police ever drove Pontiacs, but do remember in '57 they had some Chevies. I'll see if I can locate some pics of the "black & white" county deputies' Pontiacs.

 

Man, wouldn't ya love to go back and look around in that place...

 

I've been there. I know its no big deal for you Atlanta based folks but they have good ass chili dogs! I've also been to the one in Athens...What'll ya have what'll ya have!!!!
