32 Ford sedan progress

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 8th grade genius, Jun 20, 2010.

  1. I sold my Willys pickup this winter and had been collecting parts for a 32 ford for several years. Yesterday I picked up my frame and thought i would mock every thing up.

Looks like a great start. Are the wheels the new ones from Real Wheels?

32 Tudors are really pretty cars overall. I think yours will be nice. Any ideas on colors?

My late uncle had one of the nicest 32 Tudors I had ever seen, and really havent seen one since like it. He passed away in 83, and the car dissapeared. It had a full race 327 in it. Chrome Jag front and rear. Car was made in the early 70's. Car was black, with a sunburst interior in it.

Car resurfaced in 2005, my cousin had bought it from the guy who got it from my late uncles wife. Car was no different, accept the 327 didnt go with it when he sold it. For some reason, the car got painted a gold color, not that I am against gold, but this had a yellow base and was an odd gold. I like the deeper golds, Inca Gold for example.

Car now resides somwhere in San Fransico along with my cousins 32 Roadster he sold (divorce) had forced the sales.

Cant wait to see more build pics.

Good plan on your build. I think too many '32 Fords are "over chopped". My 2dr has a little over 2" removed and with the lowered suspension it's got a really nice profile. Along with that I can drive for hours and not need a chiropractor at the end of the day.

I agree with Fab. A little can go a long way. Never really liked heavy whack jobs, especially when they would not proportion the rest of the car.

Best example is like a 39 Chevy Coupe with the Jolly Green Giant type chops, looks like he mushed the top down, 3 inch windshields, and the rest of the body is stock so it looks dumb.

    Subtle is an art.
