I have had a super T10 and related parts siting around for a while. Got inspired to bang some gears when we attended the gasser reunion (Thompson 09)

hell yeah! I've got a clutch turbo 400 eyeballing me from the corner of the garage, but i have no way to hook a chevy scatter shield to a small block dodge... so maybe a four speed later on.

Gassers rule with 4 gears or vintage race boxes! I've seen some of your footage at the track - you got any new film of the way she's working? If not, you gotta get some more camera time on that thing!

    The TH350 comes out.

One advantage to having an old school gasser, I can roll right under and pull the trans, no jacking the car up.

You probably know all about this, but for those who don't remember this one.

Make sure the motor mounts and trans mount, keeps it from twisting/flexing much. Those are well known the tear the case in half,.

    Don't ask me how I know.;):D

At least check the case for cracks/cracking before each trip to the drags.

It can be an exciting ride, if it happens while yanking 4th.:p

Some progress on the 4 speed install.
    install pilot brg.
    install flywheel.
The first clutch disc and floater plate install on spacers so that there is .025" clearance.
Then the second disc and pressure plate, the pressure plate mounts on stands and shims.

Got my info from various sources so I hope all of this works.

Got a hole in the floor today, shifter in place. Everything seems to be working but the shift handle is too short for a belted in driver. Need a longer curved handle.

Got some more progress today. The chevelle driveshaft was too short so I had to put the big yoke on the driveshaft that I had been using (trans overall length is the same as the TH350)

Got it fired up and drove around the yard. Still need a longer shift handle and some tweeking of the clutch linkage but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Clutch feels good, no hard launches yet. Will look for a longer curved handle (it bolts on).
