Well been a very longtime since I posted. Took a break for a while when I got the chassis done on the 58 and now back on it again so I figured what the heck, I'll post a few pics. Recently got the fenderwells and few other things powdercoated. I'm in process of figuring out the color scheme so I can decide what gets chrome and what doesn't as far as the interior. Hope you like it so far. Satin

As far back as i can remember, i have never liked Keystones on anything..ever.
Until now. I can not believe how good they look on that car.
DAMN nice car and very unique wheel/tire choice.
    I love it.

Exactly Master, I was wondering when someone was gonna make comment about hot wheels. 58 was my dream car since I live where they filmed American graffiti and love the movie. Also all I ever thought about was cars since a very early age and hot wheels was my fav.

Tony don't fret because those aren't keystones there a rare set of 1965 Rader one piece mags. Look up rader in search under classifieds and there's an old ad I posted in my wanted ad

Great looking 58. I'm working on a 58 Biscayne right now and I'd love to know how you got the stance so nice and low. It's absolutely perfect in my opinion...Dropped spindles? Airbags?

You have my vote for gloss black with mile deep clear. If you want to really make it an big Hot wheels light blue interior and light blue tint.

Well don't get me wrong I love gloss black but every 58 I see is black, red, white or blue. I thought about satin black hence my hamb name with gold scallops but no final decision yet. I saw that ppg hot wheels spectraflame paint in an ad once, but no idea if it worked and have never seen a car with it, besides that may be a little much.

    And hi Brandy lol

    Hi! =o)

satin black with gold would be way too much yuck. You have so much already going on, great body, killer stance, wheels and tires to die for, and red inners.....your paint needs to be subtle and yet high class so it doesn't distract from the rest of the beauty. Stick to something basic with mile deep clear....

    No, just not installed

  23. The car needs to be painted in a mile deep gloss color, I say Black, it's looks too nice to be painted satinblack.

51ChevPU - sorry just saw your question. What started out as a just slap it together and drive it in satin etc type car obviously didn't happen. When I got it, she was already stripped down, all chrome was in the car and as I stood and started at it I realized wow, just pull a few bolts and the body can come off so................that led to stripping the whole thing down to the frame and getting it powdercoated and up from there it went. So the suspension is now a air ride tubular front and rear arms and the front also has dropped spindles to boot.

Yes, although Im right at the border of show type car, this baby will be driven. And if your thinking damn lots of money in that thing.....well I do all the work myself and I think total so far with purchasing the car etc, just under 10k

Love the wheels and tires, where did you get those redlines? They look great.

My neighbor has a '58 Impala, his is some kind of "anniversary" gold. It's actually really pretty, fits the period.

Gun metal grey, it's not black, but will still give a highly classy look and will take to mile deep clear like a duck to water

Thought about that too Brandy since I have never seen a 58 in that color. Whatever I do I have to decide so I can shoot the interior trim and such to match. Initially I was gonna gold flake the rear deck and lower part of the dash, that idea definetly will not work if i go silver. I have always liked white tuck n roll so still leaning toward that
