Mac, I think they'd backed the twin six up to this more than once for a download. Noaker's was in Canton, Ohio and sold out to Borden's. Looks like another White.

I think they had too much of this also.......

This is one of the most wonderful photos I have ever seen. It is a 1899 Amoskeag steam powered pumper made in Manchester, New Hampshire for the Hartford, Ct. Fire Dept. It still exists and is owned by a friend of mine. While the city still owned it they had converted to a gas engine running a generator which powered electric motors on the front wheels. I believe this was done in the teens.

Here it is running down the road under power and from the looks of the horses behind it this guy is really rolling.

Time to go for some barbecue. Thanks to raceron1120 and CustomCab for these great shots, which they posted elsewhere on the HAMB.

Hopefully you'll never need one, but you can get one in Minneapolis.

Ladies enjoying time out in their rakish machines. Possibly a Regal on the left, unknown on right. Can anyone tell us?

Ladies out for a spin in a Stutz Bearcat. The monkeys seem to have left (temporarily) but the dog is still a part of motoring. I think the photo is to blame for the odd look of the wheels.

Depending on the date of the picture, that's only 40-50 years after the Civil War- and unfortunately, there was a great need for businesses like that.

Dig those keen shoes!!! Actually it's a pic of Dorthea Lange, possibly THE
most celebrated photographer of ordinary people during America's depression and
Dust Bowl era. This was in California, January 1936, and I found it at theselvegeyard.com. THANKS to them!
