My wife and I just bought our first home and were so stoked!! The garage is brand new, still needs wiring and drywall!!
Cool cars, cool house and garage. Congrats. Cool kids next? They're the best. My garage misses me sometimes though.
Log onto our sister site www.garagejournal.com your life will be better from it! Looks like a killer place, congrats!
Fantastic, the best purchase you'll ever make. Looks like you'll have a way to unwind after a hard day/night in the shop by taking a relaxing dip in the pool. HINT: Take a shower before entering the pool. If you don't the wife will NOT like the grease ring on the tile around the pool. Frank
Congrats on the new place. Is that a Bosko wall piece? Nice pool too. God I love Southern California - Post these pictures back up in Febuary when us Mid Westeners are freezing our tails off. What City you in?
You will soon realize how quickly you will outgrow your space.... 7 short years ago me and the wifie bought our first home, large 2 car garage, with a house attached (no pool....I hate pools...you'd think as a rescue swimmer I would dig the water.....not anymore I havent seen a recreational body of water in over 5 years) anyway....now my garage is full of tools and parts from the current build thats going on (see link below) and the family is growing (we had our 2nd kid 3 weeks ago to the day) Just put the house on the market 4 days ago and already had 2 folks look at it....hopefully we can unload it so we can get some bigger digs.... READ: minimum 3 car garage, preferably an out building shop....with A/C (I'll put that in if I have too....kinda a tall order for a house) The good part about your garage space....you can wire it how you want to wire it....put lots of plugs in at waist height and plumb for air! Congrats homie! pimpin' house!
Congrats on the new house and garage, they look excellent. But guess what????? I WANT YOUR DAMN CAR. REALLY COOL RIDE!!!!!
Ahhh! I see the Tiki Bar is open, I'll have a Sunset! Congrats! Looks really nice, can't go wrong with a pool too! Ken
Beautiful diggs! Right now, before you put anything up, put a header in that back wall and slap in a golf cart garage door if there is any room out back. Twenty five years ago my dad and I built a garage, there was an area 10x25 feet behind it. The building had to stay 10 feet off the property line, so did the slab. We poured a "sidewalk" later. If there was one thing we could have done differently in the beginning we would have stuck that golf cart door in. Eventually one went in. It allows a good breeze through, offers a place to torch cut stuff, weld stuff, paint stuff, store stuff, wheel tooling out to make room for the day, etc. Put a workbench on wheel and you will never miss the 7x7 hunk of wall. Use a coiling door like a storage unit and you won't loose ceiling space either.
Congrats, what's great about a garage with no drywall is you can set outlets and such up the way you want them a hell of alot easier....it makes life so much simpler
Amazing luck to find a house who's previous owner decorated in Tiki, and what's more, they bothered to leave it for you. How thoughtfull... Congrats on the new car-hole, and all the other stuff that came with it.
thanx for all the kind words!!!!! were so happy!! my wife worked really hard to get us this house!!! Its all her!!! I love her and im very grateful!!! The garage is 30 deep 20 wide
Well... When are you gonna have us electricians over to wire that shop up for you? Just give me a days notice so I can pack my swim trunks and tool belt. Kevin
That's what I have only 30 wide and 20 deep. The depth is nice especially once you get a custom in there. One of my main reason for always going back and forth with trading my '52 is the ****ing size of that car. Just dwarfs my garage and is a pain to get around without opening the garage doors. Dumb I know but I 32 Sedan would fit so much nicer. Hahaha!!! Congrats dude, I am super happy for you! Are your neighbors and straight laced and clean cut? You'll probably be the black sheep as am I in the neighborhood.
