Nice digs dude! Having it all at home is a real advantage. My home of many, many years is on a hillside and no way to put a shop behind the house without major excavation.
So I wound up buying a shop bldg. "inna hood" across town because the price was right. But I've had to fortify it and have a sophisticated alarm system to keep the "homeys" out. The pool? that's all according to your preferences!

Oh, to live in a land where insulation is not a requirement. And a pool? I have to move south! Good for you.

  9. Congrats on the new digs. Sounds like you've married the right woman, too. May you both find much joy in your new home.:D

I would still insulate it to keep the AC costs down. You will add AC I hope.

I saw your post on the garage journal, and was wondering what was going on with this.

  21. Looks like you're going to have some room to play and cut on cars now! My life changed when Corinne & I got a place with a real garage (and a pool:cool:)...

Since everyone is chiming in with free advice, I'll do the same...give yourself access for attic/overhead storage. Trust me. Also, this probably goes without saying, but put some 220V circuits out there when you wire. Mine has 100v about every 8 feet, but no 220V (yet), so I have to sneak my extension cord into the laundry room when my wife isn't looking:eek:.

    Really man, congtratulations...
