I got a box in the mail and I didn't open it right away because I am always receiving boxes of awesome stuff that my pal Jan in Sweden (39truck on the Hamb) buys and sends here for me to repackage and send to him. So, yesterday I open it and there was this way cool helmet in it that was painted by Von Hartman and sold at the charity auction ran by John (coolstuff) at the Vintage Torque Fest event. I had already boxed it up again with other items to send to Sweden in the mail on Monday when I mentioned it on the phone to my pal Bob (bobwop) in Wisconsin and he admitted that he had bought it for me as a surprise gift to protect my head while riding my old motorbikes. Wow---what a nice thing to do! So, I unpacked it again and tried it on and had my wife take my photo. It is good to have friends and I have met some great ones right here on the Hamb and am thankful for you all. And Bob, I don't deserve it but thank you! <center>

I'm sure this thing wasn't cheap and I know the money went to charity to help that little girl. So thank you all again. <center>

I haven't met Von Hartman yet but he sure does nice work. And I also want to thank Coolstuff for the extra decals and stuff he included with the helmet. It's all "cool stuff."

I like the helmet, the rusty old gas can and the hotrod bike...but the male model just doesn't do it for me. Couldn't you get somebody pretty to model that? Maybe Bruce?

that has to be the most gay comment from you ever. Wait till Bruce sees it. When Denise and Megan hit town they will model the helmet for me. It will look better than ever then.

You need a helmutt with all that traffic you have there in Gypsum Ks. Just don't wipe out on those finely paved road you have, it would be a shame to scratch that skull bucket.

Hey - thanks for the post - we are really surprised by the response that has been on the HAMB. People have been coming up to me at the shows talking about how much they enjoy seeing each of the helmets in detail. I hope that everyone knows how much we appreciate the support we are getting from all those that are contributing to the cause.

For those that dont know - you can see the info at:
    www.helpinghannahsheart.org

She is doing great right now - but will have to have more open heart surgery in the future - probably in about 3-5 years. I hope not before then......

We will be posting another helmet later this week.

But this week we will be trying to help out Punk Rod Todd.
He is going through cancer treatment right now and has had to miss a lot of work, along with all the medical bills.

So I hope people will bid on that one as well.
