Hey yall, havent updated this rig in a while , i've recently finished some sheet metal work and thought id throw some photos up. 56 desoto grill sectioned 9" out of each side. still have to tweek the markers a bit and lower the radiator so the hood can go on. the radiator is my last fabrication obsticle , so heres a few pics.
Good to see some updates. I love this car man! I went out and bought a 48 3 widow awhile after seeing this one. Have since sold that car but everytime I see yours I want one again. Keep the updates coming. James
this looks bad ass. i like that you kept the 6, you should strech the doors and lean the post forward. like billy gibbions 50.
Looks Great ! Love the grill & Nose. Are you frenching the lamps? Nice to see some hard work paying off.
that looks great and it,s not a easy car to do. The grille is the shits never seen a old dodge 3 window look that great as a custom . most are done as street machines or gassers and they are few and far apart. My hats off to you can,t wait to see it done
thank you for the kind words, the car has been very challenging to say the least. its nice to finaly working on the sheet metal and the details to give the car an identity.
Outstanding work. I had a 50 Dodge for a while and saved every picture I could find of this car! I cant wait to see it complete! I love the grill treatment.
The 49-52 Mopar lineup of cars is often thought of as "Grandpa" cars and you are doing a good job of showing how slick they can be with a great deal of thought and work. Good job!
I think I remember shooting a couple of pics of that car at the primer nats few years ago. I think you had just finished the engine bay paint and stripping... Looks cool man. See you at the fairgrounds in a few months...
Looking good bro! The front grill metal work looks awesome. I have a stupid question for you. Do you have problems pulling the rear wheels off? Mine is bagged in the back and I can't seem to get my wheels off without pulling the fenders off? Keep up the good work..
its a minor project. those fenders arent coming off. i have to get it up high unbolt the bags and shocks and swing the rear down and pull the wheels. thanks man, i think these cars a over looked. ive been changeing over to chrysler stuff for a while now and im hooked.
Neat! Very, very neat! You've turned a somewhat unusual ride into a really cool one! ...Haven't seen one nicer! -Dave
