I've always loved that '57. If I remember right the sweetheart was named Riki. Any idea what magazine that pic was in?

The Gun Fighter '57 Altered Wheel base car was one of the more famous Ford tri-fives:

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I know several of these cars belong to people here on the HAMB, and I am hoping they'll jump in here and tell us more about their cars, and throw on some updated pix! For instance, this one . . .

. . . and this one. If memory serves me right, this was an East Coast racer from back in the day. Its cool as it was, with fibergl*** front end and the rear wheel wells sectioned up, but the direction the current owner is taking it is pretty bad ***, as it now has a straight axle and radiused wheel wells. Lots of at***ude. I would LOVE to own this car:

Here is another one that is a cool survivor. I remember seeing it for sale on Ebay a few years back. The current owner is here on the HAMB, and is having a great time driving the **** out of it with his family on board. Cool car:

  26. The "GUNFIGHTER" was ownd and driven by Gary Coe of Portland.Oregon (Speeds Towing) this car was/is a northwest legend and I thought it was destroyed maybe not.Not sure if this is the real thing or a damn good "tribute car".......He's still in to the car thing including this truck that was all over the country for a while.........

That Efie is outstanding. I think Ive seen a magazine feature on it. Anyone know if that blue altered wheel base is the authentic Gun Fighter?

  28. Awesome thread guys!! One day when I have a squillion dollars I'm a get me a hilborn injected y block ford straight axle to play with :)

I think one of the Executioners of London has a straight axle 57 ford too but I can't find a pic of it? I remember seeing it and a green early 60s 2 door falcon g***er whilst over there a few years back..
