How much work is involved to change out a 350 to a 700R?.... '32 Pete and Jakes Frame set up with a sbc and tranny mounts for a current 350. Geni shifter and a 8" Ford rear end. I know it's going to make things a lot easier as far as rpm on the sbc.

The transmission is a little longer ... and the transmission mount is about 2 inchs further back on the 700R4. The yoke of your 350 is usuable and of course the driveshaft will need to be shortened.

The cable adjustment on the carb is critical. There are kits to help with that. I used from from Phoenix Transmissions.

    TV Cable Kit
    #PTVSYSAFB $154.44
Fits Edelbrock and most AFB style carburetors

I bought the cable kit :)

    Everything worked just as advertised.
It installed easily ( with good instructions ) and is a neat, almost factory GM looking piece.
