Well I just returned for Norwalk and the 9th annual Gasser Reunion. Before I share my pics let me say yes the attendance was down from Thompson. To those of you who boycotted you should be ashamed. Even without the big car count it was still worth my drive to see it. I could have done without the Camaros and Mustangs but its all good.

    On to the pics

Thanks for the pics. I wish I could have gone. I hope the event continues on. Norwalk is a great venue. I've been to Thompson twice, and while it was a great event, there's nothing else to do around there. Unlike me, my wife and kids can only handle so much drag race spectating in a day. Thompson had nothing else to offer for the family.

    We went on Friday.
Norwalk is an awsome facility, my first time there.
Very few cars there on Friday, kinda disapointed.
Seems a shame when folks boycot a venue change that's probably needed.
Went to Thompson last month on Sunday (3 hour drive) and it was cancelled do to VERY HIGH Humidity!
Hope next time will be better attended
    Your pics are great, thanks

Cool where's the photos of your car? Bunch of good looking cars with a couple weirdos thrown in. Not trying to start things up but what was the boycott all about is there a thread on the problem?

Thanks for the pics !............I hated to miss this one but turns out need to work all weekend.........But my new engine is in the works after killing the last one weeks ago @ Thompson....This will be a GOATROPER02 motivated engine, a Hamb member here in Ohio which is Ross Racing Engines out of Niles Ohio

I do know The Rebel Reaper hurt the transmission on Friday and the guy's had another one back in it by the end of the day after Don ran home and picked it up..''nothing we have not done before''....That's the kind of stuff I miss.......helping out....well and trying to break my stuff each pass.

I will add...I will race any track, well as long as it is a full 1320 and safe, As far as Thompson-Norwalk Gasser Meets ect........I wish both tracks well ..love them both...............Everyone just needs to be thankful for the offered venues period............I was able to watch the happenings on the live pod cast after I got home yesterday from work and will do the same today...thought that was neat to see the live action..........Littleman

    I prefer Thompson..........

Yes, the 55 is an exact copy of the "wall" it includes all the names of the POW/MIA's really cool car, I wish now I would have taken more pics of both sides.

Thanks for posting the great pics.

Regarding a "boycott", I really don't think that was the case. Keep in mind it is 4th of July, The biggest vacation week of the year. Also the fact motels in the area are sky high!

I wish I could have been there to see my friends, but pulled a double header in Lancaster NY and Quaker City OH in my funny car.

Sounds like the event will survive there.

i race at both thompson and norwalk, norwalk is an amazing facility and im glad to live close enough to race and spectate there. (here comes the but) BUT, thompson has that old school charm and feel (its hamb friendly dammit) and thats where the gasser reunion belongs. its a tribute to the past, it shouldnt be held at the most modern facility in the area. if anyone has any connections to the people that run the gasser reunion ask them to bring it back where it belongs.

Thanks for the cool pics. Hopefully next year it won't be on the 4th of July weekend. If so we will probably go.

It has been good in the past but this year they only had a few flavors, vanilla, chocolate, butter pecan, moose tracks and cashew. None of which I liked so it saved me a long wait in line. They use to have like a dozen or two flavors, come on who doesn't have mint chocolate chip.........
