Why don't you ever see any 49-51 ford bombs?? Or is it me??

 

I Dig em" ! I can appreciate the detail and dedication that goes into a lot of these rides.

 

Wow...those are some tasty cars right there! Great way to celebrate.

 

When I was a kid, those were the cars most of our parents owned, so yes, I love 'em too.

Howsomever, that burgundy Buick looks like it hit a J. C. Whitney catalog head-on...

great thread, I love bombs, in the lowrider community, lots of times, entire generations of families all work on the same car. That's what it's all about, passing on the love of old cars. Maybe because 49-51 Ford owners have taste?Seriously though,I appreciate the work in some of these and to each their own,but certainly not my cup of tea.It does appear that many of those cars are extremely well done,just overdone.

It seems that the owners of these cars at least appreciate the good looks of old iron and refrain from cutting them up.Mounting holes for a tacky sunvisor are a lot easier to fix than a poorly executed top chop or other major mods.A lot of old cars have been ruined by guys that had big ideas and then got in over their heads.

 

I love my Fleetline. Sometimes there's too much stuff on some of them for my taste, but I don't think there's a more passionate group in the car world. Lots of respect for them.
