king of clubs 2010 pictures, drag race, car show, concert, etc

first i'd like to thank miguel/magoozi on here, along with the rest of the lifters they put in a ton of work to put on an amazing event. miguel busted his *** all weekend and the show was amazing thanks to his efforts. since i wasn't running a car this year magoo stuck me with camera duty, i ended up taking a ton of pics but we'll start with the winners

hard luck went to alex from the lifters after taking a turn to fast on the way up to the show (that little dip curve thing before the casino) in his t roadster and spinning out taking out a wheel. he got a spare brought to him and made the show

 

onto a recap of the show, i headed up friday afternoon and met miguel at the bottom of the hill, it's a really nice drive through the reservation to the dragstrip.

following miguel up the hill in his 39, for those that don't know miguel lives in tijuana and drive the 39 daily across the border to work, it's his only running car.


the track was rented out friday night for some private test and tune and to get some licensing p***es in for a couple dragsters


there was also a great band that played some blue gr***, rockabilly, rock till late, i've got a video but need to remember how to load it on here. anyways you guys were great and the guitar player was truly amazing.

saturday morning came early with a ton of people rolling in from all over so-cal and beyond

i'm really pissed at myself for not getting pictures of derby making a p*** in the bandits rail, damn camera battery went dead about 2 minutes before they pulled up to the line and i didn't have time to go back to the truck to get another
