Muttley;you punched any more holes in that 65 yet?Bring that beast down to Famoso on August 21-22 and watch some great nostalgia racing.I should have my Comet back together by then. ROY.

WICKEDJOHN;that is a nice 64,has some great pieces on it.I'm not to crazy about all the lettering, especially since Dyno Don's 64 was white.I read where the lettering is vinyl and could be removed.I think this thread will light up when the Colorado gang gets home from the York US 30 show! ROY.

  4. I agree on both statements. We had a great time this past weekend with the "Colorado Gang"!!:D

Roy , we almost had to put up a rope to keep the crowd from slobbering all over Steve's and Ken's Comets . You should of seen the photographers fallowing Ken from the burnout box to the line . I think if they could have they would have ran next to him down the track to take more pictures ,it was like he was being chased by the poperotzi . I hope it does not go to his head or, he will need to get a larger helmet .:rolleyes::rolleyes: Jim.

Curious to know if anybody is familiar with the front suspension setup on this car? Been staring at the strut rods and lower control arms, can't figure them out. Trying to figure out how he gets so much travel with so little caster/camber change.

    Thanks

Ken can tell you for sure but I believe 1BADFE is correct on the Total Control pieces. My 65 does not droop either and all I did was the Shelby drop and 1" shorter strut rods, everything else is as Ford designed it. ROY

Jim;as far as I'm concerned Steve's and Ken's Comets are the two baddest Comets still being raced today!!!! I think the lettering on Ken's 64 turned out AWSOME!!! I wish I could have been there!!!! Did you crew for Jay on the wagon? ROY.

BadFE and 65 are right, Ken used a Total Control kit.
That Comet just get better every day!

  21. Ken's car is even better looking in person. The new lettering is the cherry on top!!! Runs pretty good too, he just needs to get that 2-3 shift down...;)

Roy and the other Comet Junkies

If you even think you can go, You Have To Go.Both events were just plain awesome or Wicked for those east coast guys. The Bowling green event or the York 30 event.Between the cars, history, celebs and all the guys best thing I've done in years.

Have tons of pics and vids.cant seem to get them downloaded fast enough.I'll put the best stuff on here and the rest in my hub garage.

Exhausted, took me 30 hours to get home and thats with a marathon 25 hour strech.Which included Tony "goggles" T-Bolt blowing out two trailer tires,or the fact that his fancy phone gps tried to get us lost in the middle of Indiana,or the fact that some idiot prankster threw some dead animal off of a bridge in Kansas that exploded on my windshield [disgusting] busting the windshield all to hell.Thank god we didnt wreck or what I think was a chicken come through the glass,or the fact after 25 hours of driving as soon as I got home had to go to work and work the rest of the day, or the fact that by the end of the trip I was ready to kill both Fast Eddie and Goggles Tony T-Bolt.
I had the best time ever.

So whats every one thing of the Lettering?

I had Grizzly Graphics do it out of Malvern,Pa. http://www.grizzlygraphics.com/Photo Gallery/Autos/index.html

The 422 guys were great, could hang out with those guys all day.The stories and the arguing, Classic. They treated me like one of the crew getting me into York and Beaver.Had a full catered lunch for me and my crew and actually paid me some cash for racing.First for me.I guess I'm a professional racer now. Ha Unless you got to watch me go down the track.painfull,I should pay people to watch me.
