Sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't find anywhere here. This morning approximately 5:15 am there was a Model A or so coupe that looked like it had rolled near a bridge just south of Woodland, WA. on the northbound side of I-5. I heard of the wreck on Portland news this morning but no details. One of my drivers that travels between Longview and Vancouver said he saw the car being loaded on the flatbed. He said it looked like it had hit the bridge and then a concrete jersey barrier. Two ambulances headed to Portland. Don't know the details, can't find anything on the internet/news locally. Hope the people are all right.
Could have been. My driver thought it was a 32. It was a black sedan, not a coupe. It was upside down at the end of the bridge when he went through southbound. That would put it about 5:30 am.
got the word out around PDX and friends in S/W wash....should hear something soon, only thing yesterday in PDX was beaches so who knows, damn I hate to hear this stuff
Wow, hope everybody is alright. You never like seeing vintage iron getting torn up, but those bodies can be rebuilt, the human ones can't.
OK the guy was outa fresno and it was a 32 the axle is snapped in the pics,2 people went to the Hospital but no info on that...I have 5 pics from the wreck but cant down load them someone send me a email adress if you can open and post them for me........thanks to the HOTROD LADY (Joyce) for this 411
it also said he bought the car at 16 in 1957 and was with 5-6 cars headin to canada, they said the frontend went into a wobble and hit the barrier...........
Ive got the pics the car look fair but the front end snapped ....where have we heard that before..........again I cant download the pics.someone?????
I'll pm you with my email. Send them to me, I will put them up. Any news on the people? Good news that is..
Sorry I can't upload either as they are bitmap images Looks...like a cast axle broken inboard of the perch pin. Can't tell if it was after the crash, but that may be how it broke
it appears that the snap is also about the same spot that impacted with whatever the car hit, could have been caused by the impact, and may not be the cause of the accident.
Man, that car has been around for ages. It was always full fendered but he just recently pulled the fenders. I hope the passengers are okay and I hope the car is repairable. What a shame...
here they are some reason when I tried to download from sent mail it worked.....damn shame nice car really hope they are OK
I'm also trying to find out names of the 2 that were in the sedan.. Thoughts & prayers go out to them !!
Ouch. I hope everyone is OK. Even the transverse spring broke.....at about the same spot that the axle broke.
Man that really sucks, I hope everybody comes out okay.....I took this pic at the Good Guys West Coast Nats in Pleasanton last summer, it was a nice car.
Thats KEITH BUSH that 32 has been in the bay area for YEARS a one time it had a orig FORD dropped axle i hope they didn't hurt.
