Great looking build ! the stance is way cool. Can you shed some light on the louvered trunk lid? Did you build a whole frame then cover or did you find a stock lid and recover it? Thanks chuck
wow, just jumping from page one to the end.... sure did a nice job. What a fun little car, this is what its all about. Good one.
I'm not usually a fan of the fake patina thing but that car looks like it should be in coverage of a mid 50's dry lake event. You nailed the look all around. I don't give a rip if it is glass or not as I think too many guys miss out on what they really would like to build because they can't afford a decent original steel body or don't have the skills to assemble one from pieces. You will be hitting the road and having a ball while they are still watching Ebay for that pile of rust that they hope to get the winning bid on. I've been planning on a 29 tudor on Deuce rails with my 8BA and T5 but my wife may have other ideas for what I build next. This was my father's day present this year and she picked it out.
took some stuff to L.A. roadster show and made enough money to buy the louverd deck lid from steve's restoration .....
It's looking great Jim!!!! The look, stance, engine compartment, paint, wheel and tire choice, are all"on the money". Can't wait to see what you do with the interior....AND A RIDE!!!!!!! Oh yeah....perfect choice for the steering wheel too, hahaha!
What you achieved here is artful, and just plain amazing to me. Many attempt and fail miserably, and you nailed it. Aside from the final product looking just "right" it would never even occur to me that it was a 'glass car. hat's off to you, great build...have fun!
seems like a smart way to make it happen, get rid of some stuff you don't need and get something cool you do need. It looks great, did it fit the opening pretty closely or was there a lot of trimming involved? chuck
Man, this is one of the finest fiber bodies I have ever seen. I know I said it earlier but the work is killer and I love the Bonneville theme to it. What are you gonna use it for? Is it gonna be a driver or a racer?
Get ready for the BIG debut tomorrow,at Mooneyes!!!!!!! Look for my Mooneyes pic's,cause i'll be posting lots of shots of Jim's Coupe....His computer isn't hooked up yet,so he won't be posting any updates til next week. You'll just have to check out mine... I'll post the pic's on here for him also!
Bloody hell Man, that is lookin' GREAT!fantastic job you're doing of making a Hot rod outta it! You have restored my faith with this Hot Rod build THANKS for that! Nick.
And running all 6 carbs should be part of the deal also. That would make it the REAL DEAL!!!! Seriously , getting everything dialed in with the center 2 carbs is very acceptable when you have so many things to get co-ordinated. Frank
