    Fremont, Calif............1965

    The last "Melrose Missile". This one was an AFXer right out of the box. I believe that as the AFXers were rapidly becoming more radical, this was the car that they cut the top off of to make the Missile roadster (picture of which "Funny Car 65" posted on this thread - post #713). I moved out of the area around that time but later heard that the dealership felt the race cars were deviating too much from what they were trying to sell for the street so they dropped their team sponsorships after 1965.

    The "Giddy-Up-A-Go-Go" '65 Dodge Coronet Factory Light Weight Hemi SS Drag Car ,,Polar DragWay ,Anchorage Alaska ,in the '60's,,,NOW ,restored by David Mock who winters in Pheonix and Summers in Alaska ,a Pilot Fishing/ hunting guide up there ,,the car now resides in Pheonix ,,this is a slide show ,,each pic will advance on it's own ,,give it time to load up ,,

    I don't know who's car this was but if it was running in AA/SA class in those days, it probably was the lower HP version of the max-wedge.

    Put new shoes on the Satellite today fronts are new 15x4 classic 5 spokes from Team III, rears are 15x7 TTO's with 10x30x15 pie crusts from Hurst(thanks Cody)

    Which one? He's owned several. I had some up until Jan of '07 when the movers lost all my photos during the move to Kentucky.
