Room for one more Pierce? Here's a limo, complete with a baby.

Here's a baby not driving. After all, this is a Library of Congress photo. Emil Berliner in front of a 1913 Packard. Who?

From wiki: "In 1886 Berliner began experimenting with methods of sound recording. He was granted his first patent for what he called the "gramophone" in 1887. The first gramophones recorded sound using horizontal modulation on a cylinder coated with a low resistance material such as lamp black, subsequently fixed with varnish and then copied by photoengraving on a metal playback cylinder. This was similar to the method employed by Edison's machines."

You learned it here first, on the HAMB.

Here's a cool one, Stephens touring with child star of stage and screen
Miriam Battista posing on the running board. This pic was snapped in 1922
in Washington, D.C., when Miriam was about 10. Another historical photo
from Shorpy. Thanks, Shorpy! BTW, isn't this called a "cape" top?

How about a new 1934 Chevrolet hauling goods for Symons Brothers? Symons was late-19th, early-20th Century Saginaw, Michigan's version of a Super Walmart: They carried dry goods, groceries, and "notions" (sewing goods).

In '34, they also employed my 22-year-old grandfather as a meat packer (that's not him).

Neat truck. Here is one of YellerSpirit's nifty photos posted elsewhere on the HAMB (hope he doesn't mind). I don't know the exact location, but maybe he does. 1938 or 1939 VT plate on the car, and a racoon tail on the truck radiator cap.

Since I missed all the Pierce Arrow fun, here's Olga Baclanova with her new Pierce Arrow Roadster and I guess I'm in the minority cause I like the Pierce Headlights.
