For a really good meal I can highly recommend Mike Linnigs Rest. a very hot rod friendly place, best fish and onion rings in town!
Hope you have a great weekend in Louisville!

Hullabalou should be good, since your gonna be in the Ville I would check out Lynn's Paradise Cafe, lots of freaks there. And you could check out the cruise at Valor Academy on Bardstown Rd, in Fern Creek on Saturday night. LaBamba's on Bardstown rd is great for a burrito (burritos as big as your head) at 3am.

  14. In owensville they have the WWII airplane that was dug up from 200 ft of ice and restored. The lost squadron landed on the glacer during the war after running out of fuel. The plane is named glacier girl.:cool:Pldwolof

Churchill Downs is a pleasant diversion for a few hours. The place is full of tradition, history, and legend.

Lexington has Throughbred park, real cool bronze statues of jockeys and their horses. Also, the road that runs out of town (sorry, don't know the name) is lined with all the Throughbred farms. These places are like palaces for horses! We really enjoyed rolling down the two lane and looking at all the killer horse farms.

If you have a half of a day, go down to the "Bourbon trail" and sample/learn about the bourbon process. I would end up at Makers Mark, or if you only have one place to go, Makers is the one to tour.

Also, don't forget to eat @ http://www.lynnsparadisecafe.com/ , it is a quirky little place that has a GREAT breakfast/lunch.

I think that there is a swapmeet this weekend or maybe it was last weekend.

Oh yea, I kinda' be careful on chasing junk in the "country".......the still brew moonshine down there and they will shoot before asking who is driving down the driveway in some areas.
