Happy family and their Harley. Cool lights, and a folding top on the sidecar.

These photos taken in a Lozier showroom will give you an insight into the quality built into them. The engine in the first photo is the same as in the 6 cyl. car we looked at earlier.

Note the four cyl. crankshaft on display with the BALL BEARING mains which they all had. As far as I am concerned they where one of the best built cars in this country ever.....

Burt Fuller in a 1908-09 Pierce Great Arrow 60 HP, which I believe he may have raced in the Salt Lake City area. He was a rough and tumble character in the area who was a chauffeur and part time racing driver. I am guessing he was in front of the car owner and sponsors dealership who was a Pierce dealer there.

Both Lozier and White used roller bearings as crank bearings in their cars. The Whites use a "floating" crank with 2 big ball bearing packs: (one at each end of the crank) and no center main at all.

1930's Bartlett Special that was brought to Australia and raced. Original motor was replaced with a Vanguard motor in the 1950's.:

    Nice photos again Firey.

I like the rear of the Austin Seven. Maybe Mr. Tatterfield saw that when he built his bellytank.

Nice drawing too. That would be a fun project for someone.
Is that the carby poking through the front suspension fairing collecting some cool air no doubt.

I think there's a HAMB thread along these lines: "what was your ride when you were born?". We've had many mystery car challenges on this thread, so here's a new twist: who came home from the hospital just days old, in this twin six? kurtis ought to know...

Merging threads? Gang... one of the things I like about this thread were the old scenes, social stuff, buildings, stores, sports, people, pinups, clothing, etc. Lately, however, this thread seems to be turning towards a purely automotive thread, very similar to, but not identical, the one about pre-WWII race cars. Or is it my imagination? Gary

I know it's not strictly a photograph, but it is an extract from the 1939 Delage brochure produced by University Motors, who described themselves as "Sole Distributors throughout Great Britain and British Empire"
