Just think if you had the blower on it when you blew the cop ... past the cop, would that qualify as blown squared?

  6. ....hey brother, that's one very cool ride.......plus I love those tunnel rams...lol.....congrats!

  7. Sounds good from where I sit.

Ya might take a look at the rear brakes. Its drums on the rear right?

I've had them shake a spring loose and it sounds a lot like that.
of course you'll probably find the problem and it won't be that but it doesn't cost much to give it a look.

I'm gonna try my best man! I have baby launched it a couple of times around town and it feels goooooood, but then again I used to get excited as a kid when my Mom let me drive the Granada back and forth in the driveway!:D
Right now I'm boning up on carbs. I have plenty to learn, but it's fun. Anybody recommend any particular A/F meter?

12.80....aw man now your punching me in the jejunum with that one!

12.70 pretty respectable for such an old car!! after all, we could put it in the trunk of mine and probably still get a 12.60 on the back bumper!! yea!

Let us know when you figure out that noise. I had an alternator make a noise like that once. One time, I had a bendix gear that would work it's way loose and make a "metal-on-metal" noise, like a squeal, when it was barely(but constantly) contacting the flexplate. Sounds like you don't have an automatic though. Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere? Maybe a brake clearance issue? Cool car, fun ride...

Thanks Adam! It's solved man...just wind noise. THANK GOD!!! Oh and it's a TKO 600 5 speed. They are clunky, but strong...so they say. Supposedly Tremec claims your not supposed to shift above 6500 rpm's...we shall see....

Your car is pure****, brother! I like the new equipment, but kinda preferred the "Before" stance.

I had to smile at the wind noise explanation, because when i heard the vid the first thing i thought of was carb whistle, and not metal. I just chalked it up to not actually being there.

Glad it was an easy fix/non issue. Thanks for the ride!

Thanks Rick! It's about as much fun as****! Feels like I have been "courting" her for the last 3 years and was beginning to wonder if the buildup was going to be worth the payoff. Well, it looks like the girl next door is a freak after all lol!
