    Ditto on the t-shirts! Wish I could take part in this auction. No cars like this in Hawaii that I know of.

    I cannot tell from the picks, but it looks like it has a center steer type steering box? If it is no good and the winning bidder is interested I will donate a reversed corvair steering box and pitman arm. This will include shipping to your address. I wish I could help more. Good luck to everyone. The martian idea is a great one and should be followed through with.:D:)

    If the new owner would be inclined to run a nailhead, I have a '59 364ci and auto trans that was pulled from a running car that I would donate to the mix. It has been kept indoors and covered in a climate controlled garage.

    I can not deliver, but would be able to start a relay.

    HAMB= Mental

    This is too much !!!!there are still plenty of cool guys out there willing to p*** on stuff with no other agenda than to participate.

    Well Done All & it ain't over yet :)

    Some lucky Geezer is going to get a Hell Of A Project.

  18. Limey, ya hit the "essence" of the Hamb right on the head, in my opinion!!!!don't think there's anyplace else in the world where something like this could happen!!!!!!

    and i don't think there could be a better choice of body's for such an auction then a rare, early hardtop topolino...with history to boot!! ain't a ford, ain't no chevy, ain't no mopar....and still is a very cl***ic example for an early Hamb hotrod........

    to Bob who started this all off, ya got some seriuosly great karma stareing at ya dude....and to those who have added to the pot...ya'll are really making the Hamb shine!!!!!!!!

  19. Okay, I'm inspired. It's for the HAMB, so....

    With Bob's permission, and Ryan's approval........

    I will do the paint and bodywork on this car to match Mr Norwell's rendering(sans lettering/logo), for the cost of materials alone(and I will show you my invoices, and p*** along any discount I receive :cool:) Yes, that's right---I'll paint it for free.:eek: You pay for the supplies.

    On the body side,I'll do it to the high bidder's spec, as well---you want basic, you get basic. You want soda blasting/repro patch panels or whatever, you furnish--I install.
    Same for the paint---PPG off my mixing bar, or HOK candies from the paint store--I don't care--your call, your budget.

    I absolutely LOVE the Martian scheme :D(again, the artwork you'll have to have done), and it looks to be easy to do, and on a tiny car, a fairly quick job.
    If you have reservations about my abilities, look no farther than hotrodladycrusr's Big Olds. Not the best, by far, but nothing to be ashamed of. I've done other stuff, but you've likely not seen it.
    No, I'm NOT the "paint your car for $29.95" guy ;)

    Again, pending Bob's and Ryan's blessings.
