kurtis, do you (or anyone else) know anything about this fellow or his machine? At a glance, it resembles the bike Glenn Curtiss rode, but there are many differences. I noticed this is belt drive, which I did not know existed back then (maybe 1908?).

There really was a Mill Explosion in Minnesota at the Washburn Mill. You can find out more at http://www.mnhs.org/library/tips/history_topics/73washburn.html Here's a real pic of the ruins of the Washburn A Mill in Minneapolis after the explosion on May 2nd, 1878.

1923 Packard, first series single six (model 1-33) seven passenger touring car in Argentina, with some accessories: running board step plates, front bumper, and cowl lights.

T6--why?? I would think any car hauling around a load like that would deserve bragging rights! My guess is '26-'28 Chrysler 6-cyl.

Good guess, probably 1925 or 6 with those headlamps.

T-Head what a blast-from-the-past type of pic! Looks as though Glen Cove was a sort of resort (?). Any background on this pic?

SunRoof, Chuck said the photo, not the May 2, 1878, mill explosion, was a fake. It's an obviously doctored pic to dramatize the actual event. Darkroom tricks would have been necessary, since camera technology wouldn't have been advanced enough to capture such an event.

RE the 1909 Luverne, that's a great article. The author describes the car in some detail, and photos would have been a great complement to his piece. The more you dig up, the more I long to see and read. Keep it up, buddy!

"Big and Long, Brown and Strong"
1917 Luverne. Pretty much a monster like the Loziers
we have been seeing on the thread. This later-model
reportedly used a 348-CID Continental six with Shebler
carb and sat on a city-block-long 132-inch wheelbase.

1859 photo of Minnesota and Mississippi river steamers
taken by Edward Bromley. From Chuck's Toyland, a site
maintained by Chuck Test, in part devoted to the collection
of early Minneapolis/St. Paul-area photographer and mega-
    photo collector Edward Augustus Bromley.
