History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

We did attend The 2010 Gasser Reunion in Norwalk with our 33 Willys. It was super hot the whole time. We were disapointed at the turnout, and its a shame since the track and the staff are real nice. For the people that were there they put on a great fireworks display on Saturday night and a wheelie contest. Heres a couple shots we were able to get. We did get to talk to Ohio George for about 45 mins Sat afternoon.

Can anyone tell what the decal on the front fender of the shroyer shaker says, i can make out the dale pyle but what are the other words?

Does any one have any pictures or information of Stan Newman racing a black 1964 Belvedere? (hemi/wedge????) This would have been in NY. Thanks, RBBRUNO

 

Not sure how many of you do Facebook, but there is a site named "Memories of O.C.I.R." that has over 800 pics all taken at Socals OCIR..Sure brought back some great memories for me..

Stan raced out of Mechanicville Plymouth/Dodge dealer.Lots of results in the thread "Eastern Drag News".Do a search for it and look at the South Glens Falls and Lebanon Valley drag results and stories.He is listed but not sure if there is pic of the car.
Saw him race a bunch of times at SGF.
