Glad to see this is getting resolved and that there are good people left in this world. Way to go, Gene!

The car was screwed up, Gene admits it, and the responsible people at his shop got apparently lost their jobs for letting that work roll out the door.

Looks like Gene is apologizing, and rightly so. The car owner shouldn't be apologizing for anything, he now has to return the car to the shop and wait even longer for it to be done properly. And he paid a small fortune for the work. What should he apologize for? Nothing, imo.
