Nice to see another Famous Kiwi promoted on the HAMB.
Ivan Mauger must be over 70 now and still a real hero to most kiwis.

 

Heading for 71 this year and yes, I agree, he has achieved greatness.

 

Didn't think this was still going yet, glad to see this thread get somemore press.

Thanks guys for keeping the interest up in this thread I started,I've been a slacker and not posted in a while...here's a few more trophy girls-

Guess i might as well add my only trophy girl adventure. I had just won "Judges Choice" at the Tulsa Autorama in Jan, 1960. The roadster was fresh out of the body and upholstery shops and looked pretty sharp. The guy who tipped the scales in my favor was a judge named Dale Ham , of NHRA Safari fame. Since it became my daily driver after that it was all downhill on the show circuit. My fifteen minutes of fame.
