I thought it may have been a stylized M for Matheson.

To the masses perhaps but to some it still serves as a useful distinction defined by an integrated bed so technically the Mopar you posted is a roadster pickup.

So, an early CUSTOM body? That would make the "vanity" hubcaps believable, too.

Chums Glenn Curtiss & Henry Ford in 1912
with a Curtiss-engined flying boat. Curtiss
encouraged Henry to use his V-8 in the
Model-T, which would have given Ford
    permanent bragging rights over Cadillac
and King. Ford declined but loaned his
personal lawyer to Curtiss to fight a Wright
patent action. Later, Ford did buy a flying
boat for his personal secretary and long-
time friend, Evangeline Dahlinger, who had
been with the company since the time when
    the "T" was in development.

Sincere THANKS to Hemmings for the historic
image. For a much more detailed version
of events, do see this fine Hemmings piece

ehdubya, I thought so, too, and looked at the typography up, down & sideways. I still thought "B." Is the Matheson a LOOOOOONG car?

Brush at the depot, all outfitted for rough driving, with chains and lap robe. Oh, and check the rope in case a tow might be needed - coiled around the headlight yoke.

OK, motorheads.... our lines are open and operators are standing by, waiting for your call. Correctly identify this by make, year and model, and win a chance at another mystery photo or a bushel of bananas (judge's choice).
