that was my first guess too.

sorry to say but that thing is ugly. different strokes for different blokes i guess.

  7. Sounds about right, did you check the glovebox or vin number?
I wouldn't want to drive it....I wouldn't feel safe in a car that tops out at 12 M.P.H.

Good lord that is one ugly Rambler.

Lets see, slammed with decent wheels and rubber, full suspension swap and update as well as engine ****** swap, nice paint and interior and you would have people wondering :)

They would either love it or just ask why  :D

If you think that one is ugly you ought to see the wagon version.

  22. Laugh at that Rambler and call it ugly if you want to, but it's old enough to be HAMB-friendly. Looks pretty solid and complete. Rambler had the last USA-made flathead engine (6's were flatheads up through about '64 if I remember right), tough, reliable, and simple to work on even if not noted for raw horsepower. Good enough for a 16 year old's first car, if nothing else it would teach the kid the virtue of humility. And for what it's worth, Rambler was first with a dual-chamber master cylinder that separated the front and rear brake hydraulic systems.

In high school, we'd come up alongside a kustom at a stoplight on the San Jose main drag...we'd ask the obvious, just to get a reaction.
This real slippery chopped '51 Merc with maroon paint slides up alongside, and my bud says, "Hey, is that a N***shhh?"
The Merc pilot was huge, he got out and I damn near ran over his foot with my fenderless 'A'-Type Henry with a hot one....we got away...LOL

Actually the wagon is better looking, and you can haul your junk around in the wagon, so the wagon is ugly but useful, like an ugly chick with a hot sister. Unfortunately the more door is a lot like an ugly chick that farts a lot with a really ugly sister and a mom with a badonka donk **** and a dad that's a prison warden and a little brother that kicks you in the ghoolies when you come to the door. Ugly must have a purpose, other wise it's just demenshia.

My Dad had one of those when I was 16. I changed the RAMBLER letters on top of the grill to read MABEL.....got lots of laughs.
And you are right....sure ugly..BUT...the seats made into beds.
All new meaning to first dates !!!:D;)

Rambler Cl***ic as opposed to American or Amb***ador. Those lovely things were supplied by a local dealer for use as Drivers Ed cars in high school. One of the reasons I did not take driver's ed.

Some may think those are ugly, I did too back then but if my memory serves me correctly they had one very cool feature that me and all my buddies knew about, the front seat laid all the way back and made into a bed. Very convenient for us young boys discovering what girls were about.

Oh heck yeah, a Kenosha Kadillac Kl***ic! They were cheap, easy to work on, and cheap.... and as far as ugly? I've seen customs that cost a lot more $$ and looked a whole lot worser.
