Thanks, sometimes I feel a little underappreciated around here. It's nice to get a little credit once in a while.

Yeah but that red line is a little distracting, the guy who listed the photos for sale must not want anyone to repost them on any message boards...........what a bummer.

Nope........heres a thought, how about you put that scanner to good use and post some of those pics (with the red line removed, of course) instead of just commenting on my posts.

DA!!!!!! MUTTLEY you just don't get it.Cropping the name of the photographer out of the photo and listing it is just not right.I can see you just don't care.

Why dont you leave him alone. He isnt doing anything wrong. He acknowledges B. Swain is the photographer as you mentioned. and if someone didnt want them used or reposted there are ways to avoid that as he said, and at that point if someone is using there scanner to remove the redlines or whatever is done to the photo, than it is them who are doing the wrong. Muttley has simply tryed to give these photos the recogonition they deserve, and it means alot not only to the guys reliving it but for us who were a little to late to live through it. THANK YOU MUTTLEY and B. SWAIN

00Dirt,have to agree with you,the 60'sand70's modified thread recently had the same stuff going on over there by a few FNG's, some with EGO's and some who aren't even the photographers. As a part time photographer I'd be happy my shots were being shared and enjoyed here or somewhere else. only problem I've had was some guy right clicking and selling them on egay, my fault though but I didn't want to clutter a shot with a logo/watermark. I posted them for the rest of the fans to enjoy ,relive old memories and the future generations to view and see what we were able to see first hand. Muttley and Plum and all the others "THANK YOU" for the shots you have been posting and keep up the great work to help me see shots that I haven't been able to see without your posts.....Rich

    Request:

i would like to see more superstock cars. Thanks.

And not the 60's ones either; i'm talking about the ones that are tubbed out and really low in the front so they look like funnycars/prostocks etc.

Dammmm that captures Drag Racing at it's finest....raw tire ripping power.....I miss them"Smoker" days.

  26. My understanding, the Ramchargers sold the car to Herb McCandless and John Livingston, shown in the first photo.Called it the 'Ramcharger',ran injected gas, crashed the car.So the body must be gone. The Woody chassis ended up under Shirl Greer's Charger, don't know where it went after that. Some of those chassis' survived to this day, though. Sure I do, its just fun to play stupid once in a while.

Like I said before, the borders & signatures look like crap on the pictures, I didnt do anything but clean them up.

Not really, I didnt do anything wrong. It not like I'm making copies and posting them for sale. If anything I may be helping the guys sales. Quit moaning & groaning and either contribute to this thread or go work on your car.

    Mr Dragway Classic,
    I assume your selling pics?
No one here is selling a pic for profit, But I must ask do you donate a portion of moneys ,from the sales of pics, to the drivers or car owners who spend thousands upon thousands of dollars ,and put their lives on the line for you to snap a picture and sell it? They posed for it.

If you dont want it copied.. open a gallery...... not put it on the net
I for one like seeing all forms of motorsports from "back in the day" cause I wasnt there and itll never be back

If I sound like an ass.....Its not ment to be, just look farther than the end of your nose . Its all hard work from the people who design parts, build cars, work on cars, work jobs to pay to race and do what we love, just so someone can snap the pic to preserve history. In the big pic we are all just small links of the food chain.

    Sorry for the rant,
    Tony

What Mutley said! I had a guy that I gave copies of pictures to, bitch at me for posting them somewhere, and they were my friggin' pictures to begin with!
This is just a thread about pictures, not commerce.
I agree that posting pix here could help the other dude sell his pictures, so it should not be anywhere near the issue it is here.
