Uh!, I think that you are at the wrong place--the essence of this board and this thread is cars from the 60's (and earlier and maybe a little later), not the tubbed out floor dragging late model type stuff.

What is so wrong with giving the photographer credit, when known, you resize, crop and spend time listing and then extract his name. That is TOO MUCH TOO ASK.It's not a issue of someone viewing photos, some people refuse to give credit.I have raced many cars, lots of money spent,my issue is many of the late photographers work should be acknowledged.they were also history.

I personally would like the names REMOVED. They clutter the shot and have no reason for being ther. Other then to say dont steal my stuff Its mine, mine, mine. Well no they are not they are the car owners if you want to be technical. As far as resale, your gonna need a bigger picture file that these to get a good SELLABLE 8x10 from. Cut em up Mutley. Keep it up Classic and you will scare another poster away like me. Put up or shut up.

  9. OK guys, quit yer bitchn' because that'll get the thread closed...

Let's also keep in mind, this thread is about: Drag Cars "In Motion"

Also this is a traditional hot rod site, it's not about late model pro mods, rear engine dragsters or anything post 1964, unless they were racing prior to that. The modern exception should be nostalgia, tribute or pre-64 bodied cars.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled program....

OK, My computer crash again & I lost everything again. Only this time I know I can get my ohtos back from HAMB. As long as HAMB don't go away I'm alright.

So I'm back up & running but I'll be busy for a couple of days so I won't be posting to much until Weds. or Thursday.

Hope these will hold you over.

Please put down your stones for now as I am going to put my two cents in here on the posting of photos. I was at one time making part of my living doing racing photography (mostly short tracks and NASCAR) and my income came from photo sales and magazine uses of my photos. I hope to some day be able to market my photos again in some fashion mostly in the local area and through Internet sales. I would probably post more of my images on the historic stock car posts if it were not for the fact that it is so much trouble to add my name or a water mark on them. I love to see the old photos displayed on this and other forums and admit to coping most to my computer for my own use. I would never reproduce those of others for sale or profit. If I want to send to another for use on a private web site I will get permission from the photographer if known.

I believe it is only fitting that the name of the photographer should accompany the photo if the photographer is known. If a photo has a watermark or the photographer's name on it that means that the photographer doesn't want that image to be used with out the mark or they wouldn't have put it there.

I post from time to time in several forums as time allows and will continue to do so. If I post a photo, please add it to your collection but do not reproduce it for sale. I am grateful to those like Plum who have such a great collection and are willing to post them. One of my regrets in life is that I didn't have a good camera back in the days when I attended the FX races of the sixties and that I didn't spend more time later involved in drag racing instead of getting involved in circle track.

Pushing what was allowed in the minds of most people back in the day with that pose. But I am good with it.

I think what was requested was simply some door slammers from the late 60s thru the mid 70s. Ya know a little something for the fourty something crowd.

I know I got more on Fullerton but they would be in my slides section. I'm doing prints right now and I still got over 1,000 of them to do.
