There's still a Russel car that exists somewhere
and you're going to see it?? Wow! Can you get
some details and pics of it when you do and post
them, either in this thread or in a new one?.
About the date on the pic that I posted. I agree
that it's probably about 1905 or '06 or so rather
    than 1909. I posted 1909 because that's what
the holder of the pic - the Toronto Public Library
has for it, but they may only have been guessing
]as to the actual date. About recreating the pic,
it may not be possible to find enough (or any)
Russel cars to line up in a row, but at least the
building - the old Toronto City Hall is still standing
and in fact has been restored and renovated to
    its 'late-1800's-early-1900's' appearance and is
now used as court house. If you ever make to
    Toronto and like classic 'late-Victorian-era'
architecture, you'll have to see it.:)

One for our neighbors to the north, a 1926 Stearns Knight with Nova Scotia plate. And a kewpie doll! Looks like a Clymer spotlight too, and a Bi-Flex bumper.

Bob, i looked at the photo and noticed the sign in front of the Auto Accessories shop promoting, in a sense, the upcoming Provo Run. I then sifted through my record's but focused my search on anything related to this event or something similar in Utah. Starting from 1910 and working my way up, i found nothing until i came across some information for an Endurance and Sociability Run in 1914 from Terre Haute, IN. to Salt Lake City, UT where the run finished. During this run there was a leg from Duchesne to Provo and then from Provo to Salt Lake City.

I'm not saying this is what we are looking for but it was the only event i found in relation to the town of Provo. I can post what little info and result's i have if you want.

    Kurtis -
From the September 23, 1912 Salt Lake Evening Telegram, page 10 - Sporting Page. A little piece about the afore mentioned Auto Club outing to Provo.

I've been hunting through Wyoming newspapwers, and I am sure I will find something as I think these daring drivers and their car with the odd-ball tires were following the route that would, in a few short years be the Lincoln Highway.
    Bob.
